Allison Kave is the author of First Prize Pies, inspired by the baked-to-order pie business she founded in New York's Lower East Side in 2012. She's currently the co-owner of Butter & Scotch, a bar & bakery coming soon to Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Allison's pies have been featured in the New York Times, Food & Wine, and Bon Appetit, among others, and she has taught pie workshops at the James Beard House, the French Culinary Institute, and in many tiny galley kitchens throughout New York City.
