When not rocking esteemed NYC venues such as Irving Plaza, Gramercy Theatre, and Joe's Pub, you can usually find Kara Suzanne in her kitchen in Woodstock, NY concocting good eats and practicing lacto-fermentation from local, sustainable sources. While her original music creatively combines her power-house vocals and arrangements, all while leading a stellar band, she uses her five year study of Sally Fallon's Nourishing Traditions cookbook to be equally as creative with food. A staunch supporter of family farmers, Farm Aid and raw milk, Kara uses her music in whatever way she can to draw awareness to these important causes.
