HandPicked People: Staci Strauss
As we’ve built up our community here at HandPicked Nation, we have met some truly incredible farmers, ranchers, makers and thinkers in the real food movement. Which prompted the thought, why not share a little more about the real people of real food with our readers?
Welcome to another addition of HandPicked People!
If you’ve ever been fortunate enough to spend some time inside the home of Staci Strauss, you will understand one thing right off the bat: she has incredible taste. From the wonderful real food she cooks in her kitchen to the beautiful mosaic of inspirational artwork on her office walls, it’s all good.
Staci, along with her husband Craig McCord, created everything from awesome foodie t-shirts to wonderful videos about the people who feed us, before co-founding HandPicked Nation in the beginning of 2012. Their passion for good food, cinematic style and great story-telling has taken Craig and Staci down a remarkable path, interviewing stellar figures like Chef Dan Barber of Blue Hill, self-proclaimed “lunatic farmer” Joel Salatin, and food writer extraordinaire Betty Fussell.
Staci and Craig recently launched an indiegogo campaign to raise funds that will enable Slow Films, the production arm of HandPicked Nation, to produce even more of these important food stories. If you believe in the value of small food producers and helping people learn about real food, this is a great cause to get behind.
