The Simple Art of Salad
Here is a sweet something to start your week with.
The Tiger in a Jar filmmakers spent some time earlier this year with the mother-daughter team behind The Cook’s Atelier, a cooking school in Beaune, France. Founders Marjorie Taylor and her daughter Kendall Smith Franchini are big proponents of the slow food tradition of France, building several of their classes and workshops around the farmers’ markets and local food producers in their region.
This sweet video starts with a trip to a local garden and ends with a lovely salad – proving that even the simplest of dishes can become art when sourced and created with care and attention to detail.
This video is posted here with permission of the filmmakers.
THE FILMMAKERS: Tiger in A Jar by name has only been around for a little while, but Matt and Julie have been creating for years. We were married in 2009, and started running TIAJ full time at the beginning of 2011. We document life through film and pictures, and enjoy spending time in the kitchen obsessing over food.
